What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a mobile data plan without needing a physical SIM card. It's built into most modern smartphones and can be activated instantly by scanning a QR code.

How does BlingSIM work?

  1. Choose your destination — Browse our 185+ supported countries and select a data plan that fits your trip.
  2. Complete your purchase — Pay securely using Stripe, PayPal, crypto, or credit card.
  3. Receive your QR code — Your eSIM QR code is emailed to you instantly after payment.
  4. Scan & connect — Scan the QR code in your phone's settings and you're online!

Is my phone compatible?

Most modern smartphones support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and many more. Use our Device Compatibility Checker on the homepage to verify your device.

Purchasing & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express via Stripe
  • PayPal — Pay with your PayPal balance or linked card
  • Cryptocurrency — Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and more via OxaPay
  • Authorize.net — Direct card processing

When will I receive my eSIM?

Your eSIM QR code is delivered instantlyafter successful payment. You'll receive it via email and it will also appear in your dashboard.

Can I buy an eSIM for someone else?

Yes! Simply enter the recipient's email address during checkout. The eSIM QR code will be sent to that email.

Activation & Usage

How do I install my eSIM?

After purchasing, follow these general steps (or see our detailed Installation Guide):

  1. Open your phone's Settings
  2. Go to Cellular/Mobile Data → Add eSIM
  3. Select Scan QR Code and scan the QR code from your email
  4. Label the plan (e.g., "Travel Data") and enable it

When should I activate my eSIM?

We recommend installing your eSIM before you travel while connected to Wi-Fi. Most plans activate when you first connect to a local network at your destination.

Can I use my eSIM for phone calls?

BlingSIM provides data-only plans. You can use apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom for calls over your data connection.

Troubleshooting

My eSIM isn't connecting

  • Ensure Data Roaming is turned ON in your phone settings
  • Make sure your eSIM line is set as the primary data line
  • Restart your phone after installing the eSIM
  • Check that you're in a coverage area for your plan

I didn't receive my QR code

Can I get a refund?

Yes, under certain conditions. Please see our Refund Policy for full details. Unused eSIMs that have not been installed are eligible for a full refund.
